A new industrial unit in El Fahs

On 15 March 2023, the Swedish group Autoliv, the world leader in automotive safety systems (airbags, seatbelts and steering wheels), inaugurated its new industrial unit in the El Merja industrial zone in El Fahs (Zaghouan governorate). The site, representing an investment of around 85 million dinars, is dedicated to manufacturing steering wheels for major car brands and was expected to create some 550 jobs.

An official ceremony with the authorities

The inauguration took place in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, the Governor of Zaghouan, the Swedish Ambassador to Tunisia, representatives of the Industrial Land Agency and the group’s executives. Autoliv already employs several thousand people in Tunisia at its El Fahs and En-Nadhour sites.

Evencia’s role

Evencia supported the organization of this inauguration. Opening an industrial site combines several constraints: welcoming officials and following protocol, guest safety on a production site, speeches and highlights, a tour of the facilities, company branding and a technical set-up adapted to a space that was not designed for events. The video and photos below give an overview.

For the company, the inauguration was also a moment of recognition for its Tunisian teams and a strong message to customers and partners about the site’s industrial capacity. Speeches, the ribbon-cutting moment and the factory tour were designed to highlight both the investment and the people behind it.
