The economic component of the Francophonie Summit

Held on 20 and 21 November 2022 in Djerba, alongside the 18th Francophonie Summit, the Francophonie Economic Forum (FEF) focused on “shared growth in the French-speaking world”. It was led by the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) and Tunisia’s Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA), with many institutional partners.

Decision-makers, investors and entrepreneurs

Over two days, the forum brought together delegations of political and institutional decision-makers, representatives of international organizations and entrepreneurs from across the Francophone world. Conferences and round tables addressed growth, investment facilitation, digital transition and employment, with networking time between Tunisian and foreign companies.

Evencia’s role

Evencia supported the on-site organization of the forum. An international business event of this format relies on precise coordination: welcoming and guiding participants, managing conference rooms and meeting areas, keeping panels on schedule, providing the technical set-up and coordinating with the institutional organizers, all within a timeline set by the Summit.

The forum also showcased young Francophone entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship support programs, alongside major economic and institutional delegations. This mix of audiences called for flexible spaces where ministers, investors and start-ups could move easily between plenary sessions, round tables and one-to-one meetings throughout the two days of the forum. Clear signage, efficient registration and well-briefed hostesses helped participants find their sessions quickly in a busy, multi-venue setting.
